Bríg

Inspired by the Goddess and Saint, Brigid. Being the Goddess of Fertility and Rebirth. I thought she would be interesting to have in the story of Weile Weile Waile. As a woman comes to her with her child she actively has taken the life of.
There are many symbols and references in the character design I've created. One of these references is Bríg being surrounded by Stalagmites. In Irish, this word translates to 'aolchoinneal', which directly translates to a 'candle rock'. This references her power of fire and the hearth. Which also connects to Saint Brigid's Day, also called Imbolc, which means 'within the belly' in Irish.

The Cailleach
The Cailleach was part of the early stages of the concept. She has a big part of the creation myth of the Irish and Scottish landscape. Being the one who created the hills and mountains in Ireland and Scotland, with her powers of thunder and lightning. This ties her to being the Goddess of Winter. She is also part of the seasonal cycle, with the Goddess of Spring Brigid. She was cut from the film for time constraints but hope to use later.
